Syria's Assad, an American hero? One Virginia politician thinks so.

Comments: Those who support Assad, for whatever reason, seem to have the same mentality. Even some of those who are against the global oligarchy/NWO are pro Assad. Their thinking on this issue is very simplistic and clearly shows a lack of knowledge and understanding as to what is happening in Syria.  The war in Syria is a revolution against a regime that has been terrorizing the Syrian people for decades. It is not a civil or sectarian war- those of the NWO would like people to think so. It is a revolution against a regime which has the covert support of the NWO. The NWO is using this revolution as a means to destroy Syria by dividing Syria into three different countries- a country for the Alawites on the west coast of Syria; a country for Sunnis in southern Syria, and the northern part of Syria  would be a part of a new Kurdish country that would take territory from: Turkey, Syria and Iraq.  Those of the NWO are attempting to establish a Greater Israel- and make these smaller countries a part of Greater Israel.
Also, those who support Assad think that those who are fighting against him is just one group (Al Qaeda). This is wrong. There are several different groups with different leaders but with one goal- to defeat the Assad regime. Here is the article:

In a two-page letter, a Virginia state senator praised Syrian President Bashar al-Assad for, among other things, taking on America’s ‘arch-enemy’ Al Qaeda. Mr. Assad posted the letter on his Facebook page.

A Virginia state senator thinks so – to the point where he recently wrote a two-page letter of praise to the Syrian president for his “heroic” defense of religious minorities and for taking on America’s “arch-enemy” Al Qaeda.

Evidently thrilled with the adulation from unexpected quarters, Mr. Assad – more frequently referred to in the West these days as the butcher of Damascus for his regime’s indiscriminate bombing and blasting of the Syrian civilian population – posted the letter on his Facebook page.

And why not? President Obama might still believe that he “must go,” and other Western leaders and international human rights institutions blame Assad for the bulk of the 150,000 largely civilian deaths tallied in the three-year-old conflict. But here was at least one American seeing the Syrian civil war as Assad does – as a merciless fight pitting order and secular power against jihadist terrorists.

Richard Black, a Republican representing northern Virginia’s Loudoun County, heaps praise on Assad and his army for protecting Syria’s Christians and the small Jewish community in Damascus. Senator Black says he is “grateful” to Assad for “following the practice of your father” and allowing Syria’s Christians and Jews to practice their faith.

But the focus of the Virginia politician’s letter is on Assad’s valiant and “misunderstood” battle against jihadist fighters carrying the flag of Al Qaeda. He claims that Americans who believe Assad is resisting a moderate and democratic opposition have been “tricked” into supporting the same terrorists who carried out the 9/11 attacks. Black tells Assad that only he stands in the way of jihadists who would “turn airliners into fireballs” at Washington’s Dulles International Airport.

“I pray that the Syrian armed forces will continue to exhibit extraordinary gallantry in the war against terrorists,” he concludes.

The letter, dated April 1, was posted Sunday on Assad’s Facebook page.

Black stands apart from the more typical Republican view on Syria. Most on the right consider that there is a valid moderate opposition fighting Assad – but that President Obama has failed to provide rebel fighters with the arms they need to defeat the Syrian ruler.

If anything, Mr. Obama is faulted for excessive timidity as a result of his concern that US-provided arms could fall into the “wrong hands” – specifically, the extremist and in some cases Al Qaeda-affiliated groups that Black is talking about.

Black’s letter has raised eyebrows in Washington and in Richmond, Va., where at least one of Black’s Democratic colleagues called the missive “bizarre” and advised the state legislator to stick to Virginia’s business.

Some Middle East experts have noted that, following Black’s reasoning, President Bush would have left Saddam Hussein in power in Iraq, because under him Iraq’s Christians lived peacefully and faced little threat even as Mr. Hussein ruthlessly subdued the country’s Shiite majority. A few say Black has a point, and they cite Afghanistan, where the United States supported “freedom fighters” in the 1980s who ended up harboring Al Qaeda and the 9/11 masterminds.

In any case, Black is not apologizing for his ode to Assad or for reducing the range of Syrian opposition groups to Al Qaeda. In an interview Wednesday with Washington radio station WAMU, the retired Marine colonel said Americans have already forgotten the lessons of 9/11 and are allowing their government to aid jihadists against a civilized defender of religious freedom.

“Americans have fought against Al Qaeda for 12 years in Iraq and Afghanistan,” Black said. “I find it abhorrent that we train and equip those same men to fight against American interests in Syria.”

Israeli settlers burn olive trees in West Bank

31 March 2014
Source: Middle East Monitor

Israeli settlers set fire to agricultural land in the village of Qaryout south of Nablus in the north of the West Bank before dawn today.

An activist with the Popular Resistance, Bashar Qaryouti, told the Anadolu Agency that a number of settlers from the Israeli settlement of Eli, located near the Palestinian village of Qaryout, sneaked on to that territory after midnight and set fire to 11 perennial olive trees.

"We called on the citizens through the mosques' speaker system to rise up to defend their land. Then we headed for the western area of the village which witnessed the attack. The fire had destroyed 11 trees, while flammable materials were being sprayed at the rest of the trees. Because of our prompt arrival the burning was prevented and the settlers withdrew toward the settlement of Eli," Qaryouti said.

The activist pointed out that the settlers were guarded by the Israeli army who fired lighting bombs over the targeted land before the settlers began to set fire to the land. The Israeli army also prevented Palestinian Civil Defence personnel from entering the area and extinguishing the fire.

"We tried to extinguish the fire through primitive tools in addition to sand, but we could not, so the burnt trees fell to the ground after the fire had destroyed them completely," he added.

He explained that the village of Qaryout is increasingly experiencing daily attacks against citizens and land, the most recent of which was the decision of the Israeli authorities to confiscate thousands of acres of agricultural land in order to link the two Israeli settlements of Eli and Shiloh to each other and establish tourist resorts for settlers.

"Qaryout is witnessing fierce attacks aimed at confiscating its entire land for the sake of settlement expansion. The occupation forces have closed the main street in the southern area of the village and prevent the citizens from crossing it. They confiscated all the agricultural land surrounding it," Qaryouti said.

It was not possible to get immediate comment from the Israeli army.

Spain condemns Israel's construction of new settlements

22 March 2014

The Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned Israel's announcement regarding the construction of 200 new settlements in east Jerusalem and 2000 units in different settlements in the West Bank.

In a statement issued by the MFA on Friday, Spain expressed its rejection of any unilateral move that would negatively affect peace negotiations which are "currently passing through a critical phase."

"Spain reiterates that all settlement activities are illegitimate, violate international law and constitute an obstacle to reaching a final peace agreement based on the two-state solution," the statement added.

Netanyahu confidante: Jordan wants Israel to keep presence along West Bank boundary

01/18/2014

A Likud parliamentarian considered a close ally and confidante of Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu said on Saturday that Israel’s insistence on maintaining a military presence in the Jordan Valley as part of any final status agreement with the Palestinians is supported by Jordan.

MK Ofir Akunis told a town hall gathering in Tel Aviv on Saturday that Israeli officials have received feedback from their Jordanian counterparts who are alarmed at the prospect of an Israeli withdrawal from the boundary that separates the West Bank from the Hashemite kingdom.

“The Jordanians are opposed to an Israeli withdrawal from the Jordan Valley out of fear that if a Palestinian state arises and is taken over by extremist elements like Hamas and Al-Qaida, this would endanger the king’s rule, not just Tel Aviv,” Akunis said.

Netanyahu met last week with Jordan’s King Abdullah in Amman for what was described as a “surprise” visit.

The meeting focused on the current Israeli-Palestinian negotiations.

In a statement released upon Netanyahu's return to Israel, he stressed the important role played by Jordan, under King Abdullah's leadership, in the efforts to bring about an agreement. He also emphasized that Israel places a premium on security arrangements, including Jordan's interests, in any future agreement that will take into consideration the peace treaty between Jordan and Israel, signed 20 years ago.

Jordanian Prime Minister Abdullah Ensour said earlier this month that the Israeli annexation of the Jordan Valley would be contrary to the peace agreement signed between the two countries in 1994.

Speaking to a gathering of parliament members, he said that Jordan “categorically rejects any Israeli intention in this regard and will not stand idly by, but will act diplomatically,” according to a report on Thursday in the London-based daily Al-Hayat.

Akunis went on to attack the Palestinians, whom he deemed “an obstacle to peace.”

“Their insistence not to recognize the State of Israel as the nation-state of the Jewish people proves that the conflict isn’t just territorial, but it is one that is being waged for our existence,” he said. “I believe that we should have negotiations with the Palestinians, but we need to understand that a Palestinian state could endanger most Israeli cities.”

“My vision, and that of Likud, says that we have no interest in controlling the Palestinians,” Akunis said. “I am in favor of maximum Palestinian self-rule and deep economic cooperation between our peoples, but I am not ready to have a Palestinian state be born on the ruins of my country.”

FiSyria: Emir Umar al-Chechen tells about fighting with Kurdish PKK militants

11 October 2013
Source: Kavkaz Center

A correspondent of the Syrian emigrant Mujahideen website FiSyria interviewed Emir Umar al-Chechen in connection with military confrontations in the area of border village Atma between the Mujahideen of the Islamic State of Iraq and Sham (ISIS) and criminal gangs of the Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK).

FiSyria: Peace be upon you.

Umar al-Chechen: And unto you peace.

FiSyria: There are many talks going on about battles with Kurds near Atma. Typically, each event is a mix of rumors, speculations, and sometimes blatant misinformation. There is a rumor that the ISIS and the PKK have reached a truce, even clauses of the truce are being discussed. We would like to clarify, when the truce was signed, and what clauses have been made?

Umar al-Chechen: There is no truce so far. Therefore, no clauses exist. There is an agreement on temporary cease of fire. And there is a huge difference between a temporary cease of fire and true armistice.

FiSyria: Yes, there is a difference between these concepts. And how did this conflict begin? What was the reason?

Umar al-Chechen: Some time ago, Kurdish militants seized a hill near the village of Atma and started firing at the road beneath. The ISIS Mujahideen reacted quickly to protect the Sunni population. The Kurds were driven off from the hill and suffered losses. Three Kurdish militants were killed. On our side, there were no losses.

Unfortunately, our fighters did not give proper attention to the developments and left the hill without any defensive facilities. As a result, three days later, PKK militants moved freely on these positions and established commanding posts there. And we had to storm the entrenched enemy.

FiSyria: Is there any information about the reason why Kurdish communists show aggression?

Umar al-Chechen: Captured Kurdish militants claim that they had to gain a foothold on the hills, as they were warned that their village is to be attacked by the ISIS Mujahideen. And the claim that alerted allegedly came from a senior officer in the Free Syrian Army (FSA).

FiSyria: Did they disclose the name?

Umar al-Chechen: They did. But naturally, we can not yet reveal it, relying solely on the testimony of prisoners. A Sharia investigation should be carried out

FiSyria: What combat troops participated in the storm of Kurdish positions and what were the losses on both sides?

Umar al-Chechen: In addition to our Mujahideen, units from Ahrar Sham, Al-Nusra Front and Levayat Dawood also participated. Our losses were 15 martyrs, not counting the wounded. Of these, 9 martyrs were from the Army of Emigrants and Supporters (AES).

As for the Kurdish side, we can not give fully accurate figures. On the positions after the storm, we found 3 dead women. One of them had a notebook on her body, in which the names of killed and wounded were listed. According to these data, 85 of them were killed. It is unclear who the woman was,
a commander or a person, responsible for medical care of the militants.

FiSyria: Yes, these figures are roughly consistent with our data. One of our Mujahideen, a Kurd by origin, told us that a relative from the village gave a figure of about 90 killed.

So, the participation of Kurdish women in the military units of the PKK is not a rumour?

Umar al-Chechen: Yes, it is not a rumour. The PKK imposed a tough system on Kurdish population. It is a policy that could be called a "war communism". The communists keep a record on each individual family and impose different taxes.

In addition, each family must supply to the PKK military young men and women. If a family has 4 daughters, one of them has to go to serve in their army. In case of refusal, the house and property of the family is burned.

Here's a true mafia-communist system.

FiSyria: Military conflict in the Atma is not the only case of battles with PKK militants?

Umar al-Chechen: Yes, this is not the first clash. There are other cases. For example, when there was a conflict between the ISIS and a unit of the FSA, The Northern Storm, in Azaz, PKK militants fired from their checkpoint at Mujahideen in their back when they went on offensive.

About a month ago, there was a clash between the ISIS and the PKK in the area of Hasaka on the border with Iraq. Incidentally, it was there where 7 women were captured among other militants.

FiSyria: Yes, global infidelity uses against our Mujahideen any organization that professes a non-Islamic ideology. May Allah reward you with goodness, Umar.

Umar al-Chechen: You too.
